Representation of King County in age, race, and disability discrimination suit brought by former employee of wastewater treatment division. After a four-week trial in King County Superior Court, the jury unanimously found in favor of King County on all claims. The Court of Appeals affirmed in a published opinion, Marin v. King County, 194 Wn. App. 795, 378 P.3d 203 (2016), and the Washington Supreme denied the plaintiff’s motion for discretionary review.
Representation of Cell Therapeutics, Inc., a Seattle biotechnology company, in retaliatory termination claim arising out of a False Claims Act investigation. The court dismissed relator’s (plaintiff’s) retaliatory termination claims after the government’s investigation was concluded.
Representation of IDX Systems Corporation (a subsidiary of GE Healthcare) in a whistleblower retaliatory discharge claim under the False Claims Act. The case was litigated through the district court and Ninth Circuit. The published opinion regarding case can be found at Leon v. IDX Systems Corporation, Inc., 464 F.3d 951 (9th Cir. 2006).

Fortune 500 technology and communications company in matter alleging theft of trade secrets and violation of anti-competition and anti-solicitation covenants, and in related sexual discrimination lawsuit.
Multinational aerospace company in a matter alleging that a senior engineer stole sensitive trade secrets and other materials upon his departure to work for a competing company. Obtained a permanent injunction barring the use of the client’s trade secrets and other confidential materials.
